2026 Youth Peace Poetry Contest
Every year, the WDRC hosts our annual Youth Peace Poetry Contest, which inspires youth to write creatively about peace. Youth ages 18 and younger who live in Whatcom County have submitted their poems, songs, short stories, and other forms of short creative writing on the theme of peace.

Last year’s winners were featured on October 24, 2025 at our Peace Builders Awards event, as well as a Village Books poetry reading event. Congratulations and thank you for spreading the message of peace in our community with your inspiring poems!
